Minugurulu: A Movie About Blind Children's Struggle

Minugurulu is a 2012 Telugu social drama film directed by Ayodhyakumar Krishnamsetty. The film tells the story of Raju, a 13-year-old boy who becomes blind in an accident and joins a residential school for the blind near Vizag. There, he discovers that the school is in a dilapidated condition due to the corrupt caretaker who spends the government funds on betting. Raju decides to expose the caretaker and improve the situation of the school with the help of his friends and a journalist.

The film was inspired by real-life incidents of blind children being exploited and neglected in India. The film was shot with a low budget and a cast of mostly newcomers, including 40 visually impaired children who played the roles of Raju's friends. The film received critical acclaim for its realistic portrayal of the challenges faced by the blind community and its message of hope and empowerment. The film won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Film on Social Issues and the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film.

The film is available to watch on Prime Video and YouTube. You can also find more information about the film on IMDb. I hope you enjoy watching this inspiring movie.
